Apparently: "The vortex of ants, called the ant death spiral by some, is a circular mill where a group of ants (sometimes hundreds to millions of ants) get separated from the main swarm and ended up following each other’s scent in a circle. It’s called the death spiral because they continue to go in circles until they’re exhausted and die."
Please give it a monite. It really is pretty wonderful.
I need to coin a new word. For this. And Samorost (Link). And 'What Was i Afraid Of?'
Like Umami, the Japanese(?) word for a kind of 'savouriness' of flavour.
My new word will describe a kind of....cute-ness, mixed with vulnerability, and loneliness. Peril. A small protagonist in a dark and unsure situation or landscape. A place you feel you sort-of want to be, but are a little scared of as well. Hard to describe. ....Think i need to find more examples....
